The Corecom Group becomes IEMA-Accredited in Sustainability

Corecom group board member, Jonathan Sanderson, has recently solidified his and the group’s commitment to sustainability by completing a ‘Sustainability Skills for the Workplace’ accreditation from Techbuyer. The course has ensured he is professionally equipped with the skills to embed sustainability across Corecom Consulting, Corecom Technology Academy, and Corecom Quality Engineering.

Tech Buyer is a global leader in the buying, refurbishing, and selling of data centre equipment, as well as a thought leader in organisational sustainability.

Jonathan shares why he wanted to undertake the course:

“Developing my knowledge of environmental sustainability was very important to me to ensure I can make a positive impact across the Corecom group. The course has provided me with the knowledge and skills to improve environmental performance, as well as the compliance obligations and business drivers for change, potential impacts on the environment and sustainability, and environmental economic risks and opportunities.”

IEMA – The Institute for Environmental Management & Assessment – is the largest professional body for everyone working in environment and sustainability, promoting sustainability by offering resources and acting as a knowledge-sharing hub.

Jonathan intends to implement his enhanced skills and knowledge across the Corecom group over the next year by:

  • Further developing a group sustainability policy

  • Minimising the environmental impact of the group’s activity

  • Educating the team on how everyone plays a part in reducing our environmental impact.
